Due to the triathalon being held this Sunday April 29th at Hyde Creek Pool, there will not be a maintenance practice or evaluation session at 7:30AM. The next evaluations will be Monday April 30th Group 4 Practice (3:45-5PM) if they are 9 years of age or younger or if they swam with group 4 last year; 4:45PM for all others.

The new practice schedule is officially posted for May and June. All practices will be at Centennial Outdoor Pool. First day of practices is April 30th, PM practices only. Group assignments will be emailed out shortly. Go here to see the practice schedule.

The last in-house registration session is Saturday April 14th from 1PM to 4PM at Hyde Creek. All registrations after this date will be online only.

The 2012 practice schedule and group assignments will be completed following our final registration session on April 14th. There are very few changes planned for the new schedule except for Group 1 practices.

There will be a parent/swimmer orientation meeting on April 26th, 2012 at the Mabbet Rm in Poco Arena. Meeting starts 7PM sharp. If you’re new to the club this season, it is highly recommended that someone from your family is there.

Marko, a member of the Poco Marlins Swim Club, has recently been diagnosed with bone cancer is is currently undergoing treatment at Children’s Hospital. Poco Minor Hockey is hosting an event on February 11th. (details below) Let’s show our support!

Please spread the word that Poco Minor Hockey, will be hosting the Hockey Night in Poco for Marko on February 11th.  All proceeds from this event will be going to help Marko as he begins in battle with bone cancer.

Registration for the 2012 season is scheduled to begin online on February 1st, 2012. In person registration will be held at Hyde Creek Rec Ctr on Saturday March 31st and Saturday April 14th from 1PM to 4PM. For new members to the club, please check our club event calendar for new swimmer evaluation for group placement which will be held at 7:30AM Sunday mornings in April ( excluding Easter Weekend) during our maintenance practice.

2012 Registration Fees:

Early Registration Fee:   $479 if paid in full between February 1 and March 31, 2012

or   $199 initial payment and $99 per month for May 1, June 1 and July 1, 2012 (Post Dated Cheques only)

Late Registration Fee:     $509 after March 31st until registration closes on April 15th, 2012

Since 2006, thanks to the generous support of our sponsors and donors, KidSport Tri-Cities has helped over 1500 youth to participate in organized sport including more than 480 in 2011 alone.  Our bi-annual used sporting goods sales are very important for us – putting quality used equipment in the hands of families and raising much needed funds to subsidize sport registration fees for families in need.
